The room
1016 E Broad fed Athens for decades as Weaver D's Delicious Fine Foods — the soul-food landmark whose motto, "Automatic for the People," became the title of R.E.M.'s 1992 album.
When Weaver D's served its last plate in early 2026, we fired the fryers back up. New name on the door, same promise inside: real food, made fresh, served loud.
And the walking boombox? That's Lil Boom. He keeps the room loud.

Excellent all around! The staff was easygoing, helpful, and the made-to-order GF tenders were out super fast. Our daughter has celiac disease, so to be able to eat out safely is exciting for our whole family for lots of different reasons. All five of us loved it. The GF hot was better than the regular gluten tenders, which I only say because gluten free food can often get a bad rap. Trying Baddies next!

This place is great! I love the vibe there but also placed a 120 person catering order and the service couldn't have been better. The delivery was right on time, they were super sweet and most helpful, they even ran back to the store when they realized forks were missing and we still had everything set up in time. Crispy delicious chicken and great service!
