The room
1016 E Broad fed Athens for decades as Weaver D's Delicious Fine Foods — the soul-food landmark whose motto, "Automatic for the People," became the title of R.E.M.'s 1992 album.
When Weaver D's served its last plate in early 2026, we fired the fryers back up. New name on the door, same promise inside: real food, made fresh, served loud.
And the walking boombox? That's Lil Boom. He keeps the room loud.

I don’t usually leave reviews but WOAH. This is the best chicken in Athens by far. Prices are very reasonable and the tenders are huge. Definitely a worthy replacement for weaver D’s.
